Car Rental for Road Test
Rent our car for your ICBC road test, booked together with a lesson. We can book the ICBC appointment for you, and the date and time depend on ICBC availability.
If you do not have access to a car that meets ICBC's requirements, you can use ours for the road test. This applies to both the Class 7 and Class 5 tests.
The car is rented with a lesson, not on its own: book any lesson alongside it and the car is yours for the test. The lesson settles your nerves, gets you used to the brake and steering feel, and gives us time to run through the manoeuvre you are least confident about. We then drop you at the ICBC office and the vehicle stays with you for the test.

The car is an automatic with dual controls and fully insured. Our vehicles are regularly maintained and prepared to meet ICBC road-test vehicle requirements.

Anyone booked for an ICBC road test who does not have a suitable, insured vehicle available, or who would rather test in a car they have already driven with an instructor.

Common questions
Can I rent the car without taking a lesson?
No. The car is rented together with a lesson, whichever length suits you. Teaching you in the same car before the test is what makes the rental worth having, and it is the part students tell us made the biggest difference on the day.
How much is the car rental with a lesson?
The rental is $120 CAD and the lesson is charged at its normal price, so a Class 5 one-hour lesson with the car comes to $195 CAD. Every combination is listed on this page.
What happens if I fail the road test in your car?
You can rebook the vehicle for your next attempt. Lesson and rental fees are non-refundable regardless of the test outcome, as set out in our policies.
Do you book the ICBC road test appointment for me?
We can book the appointment on your behalf. The date and time depend on ICBC availability. If we book it and you need to cancel, we require 72 hours of notice so we can notify ICBC. Less than that may result in a $25 ICBC cancellation fee.
